So, let’s look at the votes in all of SURREY HEATH

So, now that the ink is officially dry on the voting for County Councillors in Surrey Heath, let’s look at it and see what we can learn:

  •  We conservatives are still the largest party in Surrey Heath, but we now have a 4 party system where UKIP is the #2 party by a large margin
  • At the other end of the spectrum, the LibDems have collapsed completely, and are now nothing more than a rounding error
  • That being said, Labour is not much better.  4 years ago, the economy was in such dire condition that they suffered from the “Gordon Brown” factor, so it is quite easy to understand where they were and where they’ve come from. However, we are still +300% bigger than they are…
  • So, it’s down to us and UKIP.  6 months ago we all thought they were a joke, but guess what, they’re not… And even 4 years ago they weren’t that small…
  • Ironically, we are not philosophically very far apart, we’re just trying to do it in what we call a timely fashion; where what they demand is for it to be done now.  All we have to do is what we said we would do, and get moving on it in double quick time…  They don’t even care if the leadership are a bunch of toffee nosed gits…  They just want a couple things done and done right now.  So, toffee nosers, get on with it…

  1. Great precis and very interesting but beware of the comment about UKIP ‘6 months ago we all thought they were a joke’ because not all of us did.
